What is Stymie?
Stymie is an anonymous reporting platform (anonymous means that no one will know that you used Stymie to make a notification).
Stymie is a safe way for you to report anything that may be worrying you; you might need to make a notification about yourself or someone else. When you make a notification, it goes to trusted adults at your school who can help.
Using Stymie the Right Way
✅ PLEASE DO:
- Only report real concerns or problems.
- Be honest in your reports.
- Use Stymie to get help for yourself or others.
- Remember that adults at your school will see your report.
❌ PLEASE DON’T:
- Make fake or mean reports about anyone.
- Use Stymie to deliberately hurt others.
- Share private details like email addresses or telephone numbers in your notifications.
Important Rules
Be Legal: It’s against the law to send threatening, mean, or harassing messages online. Don’t do this using Stymie. There could be legal consequences.
Stay Safe: Only use Stymie for its proper purpose – getting help.
Respect Others: Don’t make reports about people that aren’t true.
What Happens to Your Report?
- Your report goes to trained adults at your school.
- They will investigate.
- They might talk to people involved.
- Everything is kept as private and confidential; stymie is anonymous.
Your Responsibility
When you use Stymie, you’re agreeing to use it properly and follow these rules. If you don’t, you might lose access to the platform.
